Since Dead Dogs Walking Tennessee began in 2010, we have adopted over 475 dogs to loving, forever homes. Our Greene County dogs are placed in homes in New England, where there are many more homes available. There are spay/neuter laws in place up north, so puppies/kittens are rarely available in northern shelters. We have no spay/neuter laws in our state, so unwanted puppies/kittens are thrown away like trash on the side of the road or end up in high kill shelters. In addition to puppies/kittens, we take in dogs and cats that their owners surrender for various reasons, i.e., loss of job so they can no longer afford a pet, illness, etc.
We sponsor the vetting of dogs on death row in area kill shelters as funds permit. We exist totally on the generosity of our supporters. Donations can be made by check, Paypal, or Venmo. Check out our Payment Methods and Fundraising page.
We also help sponsor spay/neuter for needy dogs in our community. Please contact us for additional information.
